David Pickup, LMFT
Co-Founder
David H. Pickup is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. He currently operates two private psychotherapy practices in Dallas, Texas and Los Angeles, California. He works primarily with men experiencing unwanted same-sex attraction and uses authentic Reparative Therapy. Mr. Pickup underwent extensive training in Reparative Therapy underneath the direction of Dr. Nicolosi, and he now offers therapeutic training to other therapists.

Mr. Pickup is a board member of the National Association of Research and Therapy for Homosexuality. He also speaks to churches and political organizations who require understanding in the true nature, and successful treatment of, homosexuality. Mr. Pickup has entered his doctoral candidacy in Psychology at California Southern University.

Mr. Pickup is the lead plaintiff in Pickup vs. Brown, the lawsuit brought against California for its 2013 law that has banned Reparative Therapy for minors. Mr. Pickup is also a national lobbyist for The National Taskforce for Therapy Equality, which has been successful in helping to defeat 20 out of 30 therapy bans in state legislatures within the past several years. He is a speaker for the Conservative Republicans of Texas, which has begun to educate the public in gender/sexuality issues and their cultural, political and spiritual effects in America. Mr. Pickup has spoken about homosexuality and Reparative Therapy on many news shows such as CNN, Dr. Drew, and many radio shows around the U.S.

Laura Haynes PhD

Laura Haynes, Ph.D. is a licensed California psychologist with over 40 years experience. In addition to her position as Chair of Research and Legislative Policy on the National Task Force for Therapy Equality, she is also a consultant to the American College of Pediatricians and serves on the Research Committee for the National Association for Research and Therapy of Homosexuality Institute. Her educational background includes three masters degrees and a Ph.D.

Dr. Haynes has lobbied and testified before legislative committee hearings to protect the freedoms and rights of individuals who have unwanted sexual attractions or an unwanted gender identity. She believes they have the same right everyone has to resolve unwanted desires and attractions. Dr. Haynes stands for their right to love who they want and to be affirmed in their innate body sex.
